Today was the last day of the conference. In my opinion of all the days of the GIF-London, this one was the least interesting out of all of them. Which means, it really gave me a hard time to focus and be attentive in the meetings. But this issue did not stop me to watch a couple of meetings during the day. It being the last day made it important to listen to catch some more interesting information to write about. I found that inspiration in exactly one meeting.
What I was looking forward to.
“Overcoming Obstacles, Living in the Moment and Avoiding Risky Situations” with non-other than Kane Avellano. Kane is the world record holder for being the youngest to travel around the world on a motorcycle. Having the honor to listen to him was such a great opportunity that I was very glad to have. He gave us such great insides on his trip. Even let us in on a couple of near-death experiences he encountered. Which was great to give a spin to the story and keep us interested in what he had to say. He showed me that even when you get in a risky situation analyze what is happening and just deal with it properly. He has been in many difficult events throughout his life. He said it was what shaped him to become the men he is now. I think those are very wise words. Small events or even big events in your life can have such a big impact on you that you don’t even realize it. So definitely someone’s story you should listen to!

The future of Mars.
Human life on Mars seems in a far future for us but not for this French scientist. Barbara Belvisi gave us an interesting view of the projects she researches for sustainable life on Mars. Living on the red planet gives it great challenges. You can not count on the help of the earth living that far away. It’s not like the international space center that lies in Earth's orbit. Mars wouldn’t be able to rely on any help from the planet earth. Which means everything has to be produced inside of the habit they would live in. This is exactly what Barbara researches. How to create a livable habit for humans on mars where food, water, and oxygen is no issue. A very interesting topic, something you should really listen to if you are passionate about space and the red planet.
So that was it for today, I hope you enjoyed my previous blog posts and I also hope you will enjoy this one. Once again don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or thoughts I am open to it. Hope to catch you next time!
